Eight Seniors to Play College Sports

According to the NCAA, just over 7 percent of high school athletes go on to play a varsity sport in college—at any level. But here, in the graduating class of 39, eight seniors will smash the national average.

“This has been a strong senior class both male and female, and it’s great to see so many of our athletes who worked so hard to be able to go ahead and continue in college to play the sport that they worked so hard to play and now they can continue it in college as well,” said Athletic Director Jeff Gates.

The Gator would like to congratulate the following students who will be playing a varsity team in college and wish them the best of luck next year.

Shani Breiman will be playing soccer at Connecticut College.
AJ Reeves will be playing basketball at Providence College.
Grant Iuliano will be playing baseball at Bates College.
Matthew Hastings will be playing baseball at Denison College.
Tyler Best will be playing soccer at Wheaton College.
Kimberly Santos will be playing soccer at Saint Joseph’s College.
James Yfantopulos will be playing basketball at Colgate University.
Caroline Bell will be rowing at Saint Lawrence University.
