Artist and alumna Janice Corkin Rudolf ’67 visited campus last month to unveil her newest sculpture for the School’s permanent art collection.
The sculpture, made in clay and cast in bronze, depicts a group of students socializing at lunch.
Rudolf’s talents were enlisted by Head of School Judith Guild.
“The idea behind it was to create another sculpture that represents the diverse Brimmer community,” Guild said.
Rudolf also created the statue of a girl reading, which sits in front of the Chase Building, and a sculpture of two children in the courtyard, dedicated in 1997 and 2006, respectively.
Guild said that she would welcome another sculpture from Rudolf, though the School has no immediate plans for another commission.
