This is a challenging time for everyone, and The Gator is interested in hearing your story.
Whether you’re a parent, student, staff, faculty, or alumni, we want to hear how you’re coping as the nation faces this devastating health crisis. By visiting our Dropbox site, we encourage you to share photos, audio, or video that relate to how your life has changed because of COVID-19.
We require that the person uploading content to our Dropbox share their identity with The Gator, which the newsroom can verify. This can be done by identifying your first and last name, along with your relationship to the School, in a photo caption, video file, audio file, or a Word document. We reserve the right to review content before posting, and please know that the newsroom abides by the School’s wider media permission policy.
To share, simply drag and drop any files to The Gator’s Dropbox, also accessible by the hyperlink below.
With this in mind, here are some ideas to consider:
Parents, what is it like to work from home, especially if you have children look after? What are your major struggles and successes? What do you find helpful?
Faculty and staff, what is it like to work from home? What challenges or surprises are you facing? Will remote learning change how you instruct and inspire students in the future?
Alumni, how has COVID-19 impacted your home and work lives? What are your major struggles and successes?
Recent alumni, how has COVID-19 impacted your college/university experience? What are your major struggles and successes?
For those of you on the front lines, including doctors, nurses, first-responders, and others in the medical community, what is it like to be on the front lines? What are your major struggles and successes? What do you find helpful?
