Earlier today, David Cutler’s United States History students debated whether the country acted justly in using atomic weapons on Japan to end World War II.
Cutler assigned a variety of primary and secondary sources for students to consider, including Paul Fussell’s “Thank God for the Atom Bomb” and selections from John Hersey’s “Hiroshima.”
Students used time in class last week to prepare, while also delving deeper into new material on the Cold War.
