To honor Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the School is planning to host breakout discussions during assembly tomorrow.
Upper School students will be divided into eight groups, and will share their reactions to a short video about the famous civil rights leader’s legacy.
“The video is compelling, and it will explain the significance of his message about social issues, which still resonate today,” said Director of Equity and Inclusion Jessica Christian.
Teachers will help guide students through questions, which Christian worked on with teachers and administrators to highlight King’s work.
Later this semester, Christian says that she is also arranging for a guest speaker to address students about the history of race in Boston.
