During Monday morning assembly, Jordan Minor ’19 signed his commitment letter to play Division 1 basketball at Merrimack College in North Andover, Massachusetts.
“I want to say thank you to everyone for making this the best two years of my life,” Minor said, before signing. “I would like to thank my dad and my mom, for all of the sacrifices they’ve made throughout my 19 years of life for me—all of the sacrifices that I know and don’t know.”
Minor also thanked his coaches, highlighting the contributions of Varsity 1 Head Coach Tom Nelson.
“There was time in my life where I kind of gave up on myself, and I quit on myself, and the person who was always there and never quite on me was Tom,” Minor said, before giving a shout out to his teachers, friends, and teammates.
“This will always be my home,” Minor said.
Merrimack was Minor’s third Division 1 offer, following University of Massachusetts at Amherst and Brown University.
Nelson also produced a highlights video (below), which he screened after the signing.
