This spring, Brimmer and May eighth-graders completed the National Association of Independent School’s (NAIS) Challenge 20/20 program, which pairs schools from around the world to “research and identify solutions to global problems that could be implemented locally in their own schools and communities as well as nationally and globally,”

Brimmer and May was assigned the topic of ‘poverty,’ and chose to focus its work on a local level. The project was completed in humanities and art classes, and the video (above) was made to document student efforts—as well as share with our partner school in Bahrain, Al Hekma International School.

According to the NAIS web site, “Through Challenge 20/20, thousands of students from PK-12 schools, both public and private and from close to 70 countries, have teamed up over the years to research and identify solutions to global problems that could be implemented locally in their own schools and communities as well as nationally and globally.”
