Last week was full of celebrations of the Chinese Lunar New Year. On Monday, Mandarin teacher Frances Fremont-Smith ’75 organized the School’s third annual Temple Fair. The event was a great success and featured over 2,000 dumplings that were handmade by a parent.
On Wednesday, Director of International Students Helen Du organized an assembly with music and dance performed by Mandarin students. A guest artist performed “Lion Dance” with a lion puppet, and Helen Du’s Tai Chi teacher played the Erhu, performed martial arts, and lead the school in Tai Chi.
