GNN: Devorah Heitner, Students and Screens
Gator Nation News interviews Devorah Heitner, author of Screenwise: Helping Kids Thrive (and Survive) in Their Digital World and the upcoming book, Growing Up in Public: Coming of Age in the Digital World. Earlier today, Heitner delivered a presentation to the Parents Association about her work, which has also appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, CNN Opinion, and Fast Company, among other major media platforms. She earned a Ph.D. in media/technology and society from Northwestern University and has taught at DePaul University and Northwestern University.

Caleb is a 9th-grade student who enjoys photography, and working behind a camera. This is his first semester in the newsroom, and he has been producing multimedia content like the segment Education of our Educators, Nolan's Soup Review, and other Gator Nation News media. Cole Thompson, Multimedia Journalist
Cole has been at Brimmer since 2021 and joined The Gator this freshman year. He enjoys many sports, such as soccer and skiing. He also enjoys reading and music.
Nikka Souza, Multimedia Journalist
Nikka has been at the School since 2018, and he joined The Gator in 2023. In his free time, he likes to program software that helps people and edit videos that are fun and engaging. Nikka plans to work with GNN to produce more multimedia coverage.
