This marks the third year of the De-Stress Fest, set to occur Monday at 11:00 a.m. Students are welcome to join in at anytime during their review blocks before their first exams start.
The Upper School Senate-sponsored De-Stress Fest offers students a chance to unwind with friends, stuff plushies, and enjoy music, helping to alleviate the stress of exam week.
Each event features a unique batch of stuffed animals—previous years have included penguins, dogs, and bears. This time, the Senate is also providing customized shirts for students to dress their stuffed animals, adding a personalized touch to the experience.
Caleb Meranus ’26, a member of Upper School Senate, discussed his expectation for the event.
“I think there should be people showing up, you know, who don’t want to make a stuffed animal”, Meranus said.
Additional activities include creating custom spirit swag and a variety of fidget toys for students to use and take home for relaxation.
In addition to giveaway items, students will also be offered coloring sheets and friendship bracelets to enjoy the remaining hours before exams kick off that afternoon.
The Senate is also planning to schedule another De-Stress Fest during finals week in the spring, and hopes that the students will enjoy the brief moments before exams to calm down and relax.
The School hopes for the event to become a long-term community tradition for students to interact, bond, and relax their minds.
Editors’ note: Students who wish to participate in De-Stress Fest should watch out for emails sent by Student Life Coordinator Tess Cicala.
