Curling experienced another outstanding season, securing multiple titles for the third straight year and showcasing its continued excellence in the sport.
“I am incredibly honored to coach such engaging and motivated athlete,” Head Coach Amanda Eppers said. “The group of student players impress me every year, and I am thrilled that they are persistent and have continued the tradition of bringing home trophies over that last 14 years.”
The team claimed the Country Club Cup, along with victories in the Windsor Trophy and the British School Trophy. The Gators also finished as runner-up for the Dexter Southfield Trophy, adding to their impressive achievements.

“We are proud to uphold our tradition of dominance in curling and celebrate another successful season,” Athletic Director Tom Nelson said.
Brooks Neufeld ’26 reflects on the adversity the team faced on the way to their championship wins.
“We started off the season pretty rough”, Neufeld said. “We were on a three-game losing streak , and then we won a game, and then lost a bunch of other games, which wasn’t great for our team morale at the beginning.”
Despite the early challenges the team faced, they made some adjustments, and found their stride late in the season. They capped off their late-found excellence with multiple championship wins in the Bonspiel.
Team Captain Ben Dykeman ’25 will miss the team he spent four years playing on.
“Overall, it’s been a very fun experience,” Dykeman said. “We’ve won a lot and its’ been great to meet new people.”
The Gators lose some key seniors next year, but Neufeld remains confident that the team will be able to maintain their excellence.
“We lose some great people this year, which is unfortunate.” Neufeld explained “We won both our JV League sections, and we had a bunch of JV players, and all of them will move up to Varsity next year and look to make an impact.”
With the experience of current team as well as the new talent factored in, the Gators will look to make another push to a Bonspiel championship.
