School Improves Drop-Off Procedures

School Improves Drop-Off Procedures

To improve the flow of traffic and campus safety, students can no longer be dropped off in front of the Chase on Middlesex Road.

Instead, students must now be dropped off inside the newly constructed loop, which includes arrows to direct drivers.

“Parked cars on Middlesex Road narrows it considerably and causes drivers to behave unsafely as they swing around to get through, usually because they are in a rush,” said Head of School Judith Guild. “The management of the street flow is critical to student safety. Please refrain from pulling up to the street and dropping off on the Chase side in the morning.”

If the main parking lot is too congested in the morning, Guild says, drivers should use the drop-off area in front of Cummings Hall. From there, middle and upper school students are encouraged to utilize the crosswalk as they head toward the Chase.

Afternoon pick-up flows more lax, as different dismissal times allow for a less congested road. Drivers can pull up to pick up students or park in the lot after 3:15 p.m., if they are planning to remain on campus.
