A record crowd of over 120 community members gathered for the 14th Annual Coffee House, which took place last Wednesday in the new dining facility.
Director of Alumni Affairs and Special Events Amanda Frank ’88 dedicated the evening to Safi Aziz ’17, who passed away from accidental carbon monoxide poisoning over the holiday break, while visiting his family in Pakistan.
“I was so glad to see so many alumni return to campus,” Frank said. “It was a lovely event filled with great people and I loved having the community together to remember Safi.”
Largely spearheaded by teachers Bill Jacob and Ted Barker-Hook, the popular event gave students, alumni, teachers and administrators a chance to catch up while enjoying about two dozen artistic performances. Attendees also enjoyed delicious food and cupcakes, and, of course, coffee.
The event has grown considerably since it began 14 years ago, and it now comprises many current students, staff, alumni, and others in the extended school community.
