Dr. Patrick Byrne P ‘02, ‘09, Professor of Philosophy at Boston College, will deliver the keynote address, “The Importance of Philosophy, Empathy, and Ethical Thinking in Education,” Thursday at 10:00 a.m. during the School’s annual Board of Visitor’s meeting.  Byrne studies the importance of seeking answers to life’s most basic questions regarding the nature of knowledge, truth, justice, humanity, power, and spirituality. He is parent to two alumni, Tom ’02 and Mark ’09, and a former Trustee of the School for 18 years.
