Get to know Pete Slaski, who teaches Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Precalculus, and AP Statistics.

How long have you been working at Brimmer?

I think this is my 8th year, but it has been a while. I have lost track.

What is your favorite part of your job?

The chance to meet and work with different people all the time. Brimmer has very friendly, nice kids.

What is your favorite thing to teach?

AP Statistics is a lot of fun to teach because in many math classes students ask “Why do I need to know this?”. You rarely hear this in Statistics because it is all really relevant to the real world.

What do you like to do outside of school?

I like doing things with my family. I like going to the park with my kids when it’s nice out. I also like running, and when I have the energy, I like to read before I go to bed.

What advice do you have for students?

Practicing anything will make you get better at it.
