Fashion Flash: Sylvia Tejada ’22

Katarina Klacko, Writer

What are the most important things you consider when picking out your outfit for the day?

I definitely take the weather into consideration and always make sure that I’m properly dressed depending on if it’s warm or cold out. My outfits might also depend on my mood, so I like to express myself through my fashion. If I’m feeling more relaxed or mellow, I might wear a sweatshirt with leggings, but if I feel good, I like to dress it up and wear jeans and a nice top. I feel like a good outfit helps my confidence and overall puts me in a good mood for the day.

What is your favorite article of clothing?

I really love crop tops because I think they are super cute with basically any type of pants. I also really love jewelry and think it adds to any look.

What stores/websites do you like to shop at?

I like to shop at Target, PacSun, Brandy Melville, Garage, and Urban Outfitters

Are you able to dress easily every day without thinking about the dress code? How would you dress differently if the School did not have a dress code?

I own a lot of cropped shirts so it’s definitely difficult for me to put together outfits that fit the dress code policies. I think I would wear ripped jeans and crop tops if we didn’t have a dress code because I love how they look, and I like feeling comfortable with my body.

Do you prefer online shopping or street shopping? Why?

I prefer street shopping because I like to try things on and put outfits together before buying them.

How does your style reflect your personality?

I don’t really think my style reflects my personality that much because my style changes pretty often. I like to think that I have a fun and bubbly personality, but that might not always show in the outfit I am wearing.
