Dear Readers,

The editorial board of The Gator extends its deepest apologies for its unfortunate lack in judgement concerning the original lead photograph which accompanied a story posted earlier today, Students, Teachers Debate Camera Requirements on Zoom. The photograph violated our ethical standards by inappropriately attributing student names to blank Zoom boxes.

We acknowledge how this oversight, however unintentionally, might be reasonably interpreted to suggest that students were not fully engaged in the learning and acted somehow inappropriately. This was not our intent, but regardless, we owe the students, the teacher, and the School community an apology. The editorial board is truly sorry. We pledge to do better in the future, and we hope that we can regain your trust and support.

Sincerely,

The Gator Editorial Board
