The Gator just earned 8 awards from the New England Scholastic Press Association, including its third-consecutive “All-New England” designation in editing and publishing.

The pandemic introduced unprecedented challenges to the newsroom this year, especially with remote and in-person learners. Still, the publication maintained productivity—even posting 40 pieces of content in a single month for April, the most in its history.

“To say that I am proud of this year’s team would be an understatement,” Adviser David Cutler said. “The newsroom really pulled together to not merely maintain the status-quo, but to strive for better and better during the pandemic.”

The newsroom is currently submitting articles for national award consideration, with winners to be announced in the fall.
