Every basketball fan’s favorite month is April because it is the beginning of the NBA Playoffs. Sixteen of the league’s 32 teams make the playoffs each year, with eight teams from each of the Eastern and Western conferences.

ESPN ranked eight teams in each conference based on how well they played this season. The first round of the playoffs consists of 4 seven-game series in each conference, where the first team to win four games wins the series and moves on to the next round.

In the Eastern Conference, the series is as follows: the #1 seed Miami Heat plays the #8 seed Atlanta Hawks, the #2 seed your hometown Boston Celtics play the #7 seed Brooklyn Nets, the #3 seed reigning NBA champion NBA Milwaukee Bucks play the #6 seed Chicago Bulls, and lastly, the #4 seed Philadelphia 76ers play the #5 seed Toronto Raptors.

In the Western Conference, the #1 seed Phoenix Suns play the #8 seed New Orleans Pelicans, the #2 seed Memphis Grizzlies play the Minnesota Timberwolves, the #3 seed Golden State Warriors play the #6 seed Denver Nuggets, and the #4 seed Dallas Mavericks play the #5 seed Utah Jazz.

Before the season began, the Milwaukee Bucks and Phoenix Suns were the favorites to win the NBA title, but this might be difficult now because both teams have a major player injured with Suns star Devin Booker’s hamstring strain on April 19 and Bucks star Khris Middleton’s sprained MCL on April 20.

Sorry, there was an error loading this poll.

These 2 teams met in the NBA Finals last year with the Bucks winning the championship.  The Suns won the first 2 games of the series, and the Bucks beat the next four to win the series 4-2.

This year, the first round of the playoffs is currently underway with your hometown Boston Celtics, the only team who has clinched their spot in the second round with their 4 games to 0 victory over the Nets!

In the Eastern Conference, I’m predicting the Miami Heat to beat the Atlanta Hawks four games to two and the Milwaukee Bucks to beat the Chicago Bulls 4 games to one.

I also think the Toronto Raptors will beat the Philadelphia 76ers 4 games to 3, which would be one of the greatest comebacks in NBA history because the Raptors were losing 3-0 to start the series.

In the Western Conference, I’m predicting the Phoenix Suns to beat the New Orleans Pelicans 4 games to 3 and the Memphis Grizzlies to beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 4 games to 3.

Finally, I think The Dallas Mavericks will beat the Utah Jazz 4 games to 3, and the Golden State Warriors will eliminate the Denver Nuggets 4 games to 2.

Moving on to the next round, in the Eastern Conference semifinals, I think the Bucks will beat the Heat and advance to the NBA Finals. In the Western Conference semifinals, I predict the Warriors will win against the Suns to advance to the NBA finals against the Bucks.

My last prediction is that I believe the Bucks will win the NBA finals for the second year in a row, winning 4 games to 3 against the Warriors. However, I will still be rooting for the Celtics, my home team.
