Short Stories: Donald Reese
Focusing on nothing but short stories, this class features a variety of genres, from science fiction to fantasy. Students will attempt their own short stories and learn about reading and writing critical analyses.
“I always want to teach more authors, and by focusing on novels, we always reduce the number,” Humanities Department Co-Chair Donald Reese said. I thought it would be easier to study how stories are put together if we read a bunch of short narratives instead of full books. The goal is to students to think more about narrative structure and practice writing as well as reading short stories.”
