Students Share Goals for Year

About six weeks into school, students are still feeling excited about returning to campus. Recently, The Gator spoke with Upper School students about their academic and personal goals for the year ahead.

Aiwa Zhang ’20
Q: What is your main academic goal this year?
A: My goal is to keep my grades up, and I think my independent way of working and my time management skills will help me to achieve this target.

Q: What is your main non-academic goal this year?
A: My non-academic goal is to go to museums and do community service there. I’m extremely passionate about the arts and design.

Q: Which class do you most look forward to this year?
A: I am new this year, but after hearing about the honors program for Biology, I’m really looking forward to learning about new and challenging material.

Q: What is your main academic goal this year?
A: My main academic goal is to stop procrastinating on essays, and turning in work on time.

Q: What is your main non-academic goal this year?
A: I want to get better at giving advice, which includes listening and understanding peoples’ problems.

Q: Which class do you most look forward to this year?
A: Criminal Law.

A: I want to do more community service this year.

A: I am looking forward to Women’s Studies with Ms. Neely.

A: To reach a point of exceeding my own expectations, and being successful in all of my endeavors.

Q: What is your main non-academic goal this year?
A: I want to be better at tennis through my passion and drive.

Q: Which class do you most look forward to this year?
A: Chemistry. I have a passion for science and learning.

A: More community service. It helps me see that there are things bigger than myself.

A: AP statistics. I like how numbers can change our understanding of the world.
