Tavio Mares-Van Praag is an 11th grade student in his third year in the newsroom. He enjoys writing and filming sports content. He also enjoys playing and watching soccer along with sailing, snowboarding, and basketball. Tavio runs The Gator‘s sports broadcasting initiative and is a proud producer and commentator for the livestreams.

Leo is a sophomore and senior journalist in his second year with The Gator. He competes on the JV boys’ soccer team, varsity curling, and varsity boys’ lacrosse.
