GNN: Fun Times at Harvest Fest 2017

A cool and sunny fall day blessed the community for its annual Harvest Fest celebration Friday morning, as the Lower, Middle, and Upper Schools gathered on the field to enjoy the weather, play games, and rejoice.

In groups consisting of various ages, students bonded while creating festive arts and crafts with acorns, branches and clay.

Students also participated in a pumpkin race, which ignited some friendly competition.

Parent volunteers served apple cider and popcorn, while a student and teacher band played catchy tunes, including a few covers from the Buena Vista Social Club.

“As a new student, it was such a great experience to be able to interact with Lower School students,” said Jaden Cheung ’21. “I never would have thought that I would connect and build something interesting with them.”

If the photos of the event from The Gator’s Caroline Ellervik ’18 are any indication, it seems that Cheung’s sentiment was shared by just about everybody.
