During last Wednesday’s Varsity Basketball game against Kimball Union, Kyrell Luc ’21 scored his 1,000th career point, making him one of just 15 players to accomplish this feat in a Brimmer uniform.

Luc scored his monumental basket after weaving through several defenders, finishing a contested layup at the rim.

Luc described the experience as “a blessing,” and said “it was an amazing feeling to have so many people come to the game to support me.”

Moreover, after last weekend’s game against Wilbraham and Monson, Luc finished his season with a 22-point performance, placing him as the School’s 10th top-scorer with 1,052 points.

“He’s had one of the best seasons that we have had in Brimmer and May’s history,” Head Coach Tom Nelson said.

Nelson compared Luc’s season to alum and Big East superstar AJ Reeves ’18.

“His [season] is only second to AJ Reeves’ senior season, which is impressive,” Nelson said.

Luc has been a star this season, leading the team with averaging 26-point per game.
