After Wednesday’s tragic events, The Gator hosted a special Zoom forum at 1:00 p.m Friday to discuss the role of the media in covering and making sense of the news. The forum also tackled the role social media plays in today’s politically divisive society. Journalism Adviser David Cutler moderated the discussion with Victoria Pasquantonio, an education producer at PBS NewsHour, and Rebecca Klein, a senior reporter at HuffPost. 

The event was free and open to students, adults, and the extended community.
