Today, Middle and Upper School Mandarin classes hosted their annual Temple Fair in celebration of the Lunar New Year, which is observed by many in China and around the world. After last year’s event was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Mandarin teachers Yuhong Jia and Frances Fremont-Smith led students in decorating the Innovation Space and creating activities for community members of all ages to enjoy.

During the Assembly period, Hebe Qiang ’23 and Jerry Dong ’23 led performances by students and outside artists, including a Lion Dance, erhu music, popular Chinese songs, and presentations about the Lunar New Year’s history and cultural significance.
