The New England Aquarium is located on the Central Wharf in Boston, Massachusetts.

In lieu of Winterim—still postponed because of the ongoing pandemic—the Upper School is engaging in “Exploration Week” today through Friday before the two-week break begins.

Today, the Upper School is divided into three groups to visit Chinatown, the New England Aquarium, or the Museum of Science. Grade 12 will visit Launch Trampoline Park.

“I’m excited to go to the aquarium as I want to see the penguins,” Rachel Sobel ’23 said.

Tomorrow, teachers will offer workshops for students on juggling, Wordle, careers, community service, greeting card making, population sampling, and more.

“The juggling workshop sounds fun,” Neel Kumar ’22 said. “I’ve always wanted to learn how to juggle, but I had never gotten the opportunity to do so until now.”

Friday, the whole Upper School will travel to the Natick Mall to participate in Level 99, an “escape room-esque” experience.

“I am so excited, this is going to be the best experience of my life,” Kai Wen ’22 said.
