BREAKING: Baseball Heads for Finals After Close Playoff Win

Adrian Mathiesen ’26 pitches a winning game yesterday against Boston Trinity Academy for the 3-1 win, sending the Gators to the championship for the first tine since 2018.

For the first time since 2018, the Baseball team is heading to the Massachusetts Bay Independent League (MBIL) finals against Boston Trinity Academy.

After an up-and-down spring which began with a 17-0 loss to Gann, the Gators rebounded with a 3-3 regular season.

The Gators squared off against Gann in yesterday’s semifinals, winning 3-1.

“We were really just saving ourselves for the playoffs during the regular season,” Adrian Mathiesen ’26 said, who pitched yesterday. “When the games mattered, we ramped it up.”

Mathiesen also expressed confidence in his team, especially advancing into today’s final match-up .

“As long as we are confident, any team in the league is beatable,” Mathiesen said.

The Gators will compete for the MBIL title away at BTA today at 4:00 p.m., aiming to secure the top position among the four teams in the league.
