As construction begins on the new, state-of-the-art Recreation and Wellness Center, we encourage students to remain flexible with parking and appreciative of the extraordinary efforts being made to transform our campus.
The massive addition will house state of the art sports facilities, including a college competition court, two practice courts, a multi-purpose recreational area, two volleyball courts, a workout facility, locker rooms, and 300-seat bleachers.
While student parking near May Hall may be a bit tight and require some coordination with peers due to tandem spaces, it’s a small challenge in light of the exciting transformation ahead.
It’s also worth noting that the School is going the extra mile—literally—by covering the added expense of a shuttle service for adults to and from the satellite parking area on Route 9.
Although some may be frustrated by the inconveniences caused by construction, it’s important to remember that these disruptions are temporary—the new building will be permanent, and additional parking will return. Moreover, we applaud the introduction of a student shuttle, which will make a single trip to campus from the satellite parking area, departing promptly at 7:45 a.m. This initiative will also help reduce congestion on Middlesex Road.
We are fortunate to have an administration and Board of Trustees so deeply committed to enhancing our campus and enriching our experience. The incredible new building on the horizon will be well worth it!
