After an impressive seven-year rebuild, the New England Patriots advanced to the AFC Championship.
With a 3-14 record last season, the Patriots have turned everything around with their new coach, Mike Vrabel.
A 16–3 win against the Los Angeles Chargers pushed the Patriots past the wild card round and ended a six-year playoff drought. New England built on that momentum with a 28–16 victory over the Texans, earning a trip to Denver to face the Broncos with a spot in the Super Bowl on the line.
With Broncos star Quarterback Bo Nix out against the Patriots after a broken ankle injury suffered against the Buffalo Bills, all the pressure will be on his backup Jarret Stidham to lead the Broncos in the AFC Championship Game.
The Patriots will play the Denver Broncos in Empower Field at Mile High, a possible bad luck charm for a New England franchise that has lost all four playoff games they have played there.
The Patriots’ MVP finalist Quarterback, Drake Maye, will have to deal with an intense Broncos pass rush in the biggest game of his young career.
However, the Patriots also have a defense that has shown improvement late in the season. This was evident against Houston, as they forced four first-half interceptions.
Recent performances in Foxborough have produced encouraging signs, and regardless of the outcome, the season will stand as a notable one for New England.
