With matches scattered throughout, week 35 featured five important match-ups as top teams tried to move up the table with only three weeks remaining in the season.

Newcastle 1:1 Manchester City

Last Tuesday, Newcastle drew third place Manchester City 1:1. In the 14th minute, Sergio Aguero headed the ball into the top right corner off of a cross from Aleksandar Kolarov to claim the early lead for Manchester City. In the 30th minute, Vurnon Anita scored the equalizer with a blast into the bottom left corner off of a pass from Moussa Sissoko.

Arsenal 2:0 West Brom

Last Thursday, Arsenal beat West Brom 2:0. This was a crucial win for Arsenal, as it kept them tied in points with Manchester City in the league table. The first goal of the match occurred in the 6th minute, with Alexis Sanchez shooting the ball into the bottom left corner from long range. Sanchez scored his second goal of the match in the 38th minute, placing the ball just out of reach of the keeper on a free kick.

Manchester City 4:0 Stoke City

On saturday, Manchester City destroyed Stoke 4:0. The first goal occurred in the 35th minute with Fernando Reges heading the ball into the bottom corner of the net off a cross played in by Jesus Navas. In the 42nd minute, Sergio Aguero confidently slotted home a penalty. In the 63rd minute, Kelechi Iheanacho scored off of a pass from Pablo Zabaleta by shooting the ball into the bottom left corner of the net. Ten minutes later, Iheanacho scored his second goal of the match off a well-timed pass from Wilfried Bony.

Leicester City 4:0 Swansea City

On Sunday, Leicester City recorded yet another clean sheet in a 4:0 win against Swansea. In the 10th minute, Riyad Mahrez shot the ball into the bottom right corner to give Leicester City a lead early in the match. In the 29th minute, Leonardo Ulloa headed the ball into the bottom left corner of the net off of a cross from Daniel Drinkwater. In the 59th minute, Ulloa scored his second goal of the match by shooting the ball into the bottom corner of the net off of a pass from Jeffrey Schlupp. In the 84th minute, Marc Albrighton finished off the dominant Leicester performance by shooting the ball down the center of the goal and under the keeper.

Tottenham Hotspur 1:1 West Brom

On Monday, Spurs recorded only a draw against West Brom, putting a major dent in their championship dreams. The first goal occurred in the 32nd minute with an own goal from Craig Gardner (West Brom) accidentally heading the ball into the net off of a free kick from Erik Lamela to give the Spurs the lead. In the 72nd minute, Craig Dawson scored by headed the ball into the center of the goal following a corner kick from Gardner.
